Jason E. Gillis
I am committed to zealous advocacy in all cases large and small. During joyful and sorrowful life events, I will listen and assist in developing the best legal approach for your case.
Jason began working in the legal field as a paralegal at the Rifici Law Office in 2008. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science. Following his undergraduate studies Jason continued his legal studies at the University of South Carolina School of Law, receiving a Juris Doctor in 2014.
While in law school Jason focused on children’s and family law in both his studies and volunteer activities, and was one of the first to receive a certificate in children’s law after completing a rigorous course of study beyond that typically required of a law degree. After law school the passion for representing the best interests of children and serving his community continues and includes:
- Elizabeth City Housing Authority – Commissioner
- Girl Scouts – Daisy troop leader
- North Carolina Bar Association – Pro Bono Activities Committee
